2. The Parent/Player Information Meetings are scheduled for February 1 and 2. They will be held at New Covenant United Methodist Church, 2700 S. Boulevard, Edmond OK.
The church is located on the east side of Boulevard and you should enter the most SW door. Look for signs.

During these meetings coaches will discuss expectations, practice schedules, how teams will be determined, etc. Players will also be sized for uniforms.

3. A reporter from the Tinker Take Off is interested in putting together a story about our lacrosse players with parents employed at Tinker (military or civilian). If this applies, please send us your child's name, grade, and your contact information as soon as possible.

4. A very special thank you to John Rossi and his staff at Fox News for the special morning spot with ELC coaches Tom Prebula & Brendan Klein. Fox News has been behind Edmond Lacrosse from the very beginning. They designed our logo and created the incredible Legend of Lacrosse video (see www.EdmondLacrosse.com About Us page). Their marketing folks prepare and distribute press releases for registration and other lacrosse events throughout the year. We appreciate KOKH-Fox 25’s support!

5. Another special thank you goes out to Chris Reen and his staff at OPUBCO. They have included multiple lacrosse articles on the NewsOk.com site and in the Oklahoman since the inception of the Edmond Lacrosse program in 2006. The Oklahoman ran a special color ad in the middle of the sports section for the Nov 7 Girls Lacrosse Rocks Oklahoma event for several editions. They will be including multiple ads publicizing for our current registration in the coming weeks. It looks incredible. Check it out! We appreciate OPUBCO’s support!

Edmond LAX in LibertyFest 2008

Thank you to everyone who participated in LibertyFest on the Fourth of July! We had a great turnout, and I heard many of the parade spectators commenting on how enthusiastic our group was.

Most of the kids walked the parade route and had fun "high-fiving" the spectators. Several times throughout the parade they would put all theirs sticks in and on the count of three yell, "EDMOND LACROSSE"! It was quite an attention-getter.

Thanks again for coming out and we hope to see you in next year's parade!

Edmond Lacrosse in LibertyFest '08

Edmond Lacrosse Parents and Players:

We hope you had a fun and exciting 2008 spring season, and are looking forward to returning next year!

We wanted to let you know about a special event coming up, and hope that you will make plans to participate.

This year Edmond Parks and Recreation and the Edmond Lacrosse Club will be sponsoring a float in the Fourth of July parade (LibertyFest) in downtown Edmond!

We need players to ride and/or walk along. You will wear your team jersey (boys) and uniform (girls) and carry your stick.

Of course, the parade is Friday, July 4th and players would need to be at the designated area no later than 8:00 a.m. that morning. More details, such as where to come, where to pick-up when parade is over, etc... will follow later.

If your child is interested in participating, please contact Robin Gayle below.

Hope you're having a great summer, and we'd love to see you on the fourth!
